SUGGESTED ITINERARY

Day 1 - UK to San Francisco

Fly from London to San Francisco, arriving later the same day - departures from other UK airports are also available, of course. On arrival in to San Francisco make your way to your chosen hotel, for a three night stay - we have a range of hotel options to choose from, and your length of stay in San Francisco is flexible.

Days 2-3 - San Francisco

Enjoy getting to know San Francisco better over the coming few days. The redeveloped waterfront at Fisherman’s Wharf is a great place to explore, with its restaurants and shops, great museums and iconic sea lions (California law gives them first dibs on the best locations!) It’s worth noting that one of the city’s most renowned attractions - Alcatraz - must be prebooked if you're intending to visit.

Day 4 - San Francisco to Yosemite

Collect your rental car from the San Francisco depot, and head out of town towards Yosemite (approx 200 miles / 3 hours 15 mins) starting by crossing the vast Oakland Bay Bridge. If you’re in good time head straight in to Yosemite National Park and the spectacular Yosemite Valley (extra 50 miles / 1 hour 30 mins), in the heart of the park. Check in to your hotel for a two night stay.

Day 5 - Yosemite

Spend the day exploring this spectacular national park - tomorrow you’ll cross the Tioga Pass (weather dependent), so today we’d recommend focusing on the Yosemite Valley area.

Day 6 - Yosemite to Mammoth Lakes

Cross from west to east in Yosemite National Park today, on your way to Mammoth Lakes (approx 130 miles / 3 hours 15 mins (plus stopping time) via Yosemite Valley and El Capitan, Tenaya Lake and the June Lake Loop. Head across the spectacular Tioga Pass (weather dependent), and onwards to Mammoth Lakes, which is a great place for an overnight stop on the way through the region. Check in to your hotel for the night.

Day 7 - Mammoth Lakes to Death Valley

Drive from Mammoth Lakes to Death Valley – approx 210 miles / 3 hours 45 mins (plus stopping time) via Bishop and Independence, and in to Death Valley National Park, visiting features such as Stovepipe Wells. On arrival in to Furnace Creek check in to your hotel for one night.

Day 8 - Death Valley to Las Vegas

This morning we’d suggest exploring Death Valley a little more - the views from Zabriskie Point are spectacular and at Dante’s View you can see the lowest and highest points in the contiguous USA. From Death Valley continue to Las Vegas (approx 145 miles / 2 hours 15 mins), perhaps detouring to Red Rock Canyon before arriving in to Vegas. On arrival in to Las Vegas drop your car off at the airport depot and make your way to your chosen hotel, for a three night stay - if you’d like a different duration here just let us know, we’re very flexible!

Days 9-10 - Las Vegas

Spend a few days discovering vibrant Las Vegas. The city comes alive at night, with numerous world-class shows to choose from. Book tickets well in advance for high profile shows and ‘must sees’, or see what’s available when you arrive if you’re open to suggestions.

Day 11 - Return

Make your way back to Las Vegas airport for your return flight to the UK, arriving the next day.
