Holidays to Boston
A city of enormous charm, Boston is many people’s first taste of New England and its small-town atmosphere combines gracious eighteenth-century townhouses with cobbled streets and modern skyscrapers. After shopping on Newbury Street or watching a baseball game at Fenway Park, head out of town to the beaches and pretty villages of Cape Cod, or to stylish Newport in Rhode Island.
What to do in Boston
A few days in Boston will give you a feel for the city’s charm and history - take a hop-on hop-off trolley bus tour to get your bearings of the city centre, Back Bay and over to Cambridge. Take a cruise on the harbour, when the sun comes out head to Boston Common, eat in one of the city’s fabulous restaurants, and be sure to find time to have a beer or two at the famous Cheers bar.
Where to stay in Boston
To make the most of the city stay in the City Centre, West End or Back Bay areas, from where many of Boston’s attractions can be reached on foot. Public transport is good so staying further out of the city can save you on hotel costs. There’s a good selection of hotel options available in all price categories, although as Boston is a major conference and business venue it’s a good idea to book well in advance.
