SUGGESTED ITINERARY

Day 1 - UK to Beijing

Fly from Heathrow to Beijing, arriving the following day. Departures from other UK airports are also available, please ask for details.

Day 2 - Beijing

On arrival, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel, for a three night stay. Our holidays are very flexible so your duration in Beijing and elsewhere can be tailored to suit your exact requirements!

Days 3-4 - Beijing

Spend the next few days exploring this incredible city. A visit to the Great Wall is a priority, and our suggestion would be a small group tour to the Mutianyu section of the wall - an early start ensures you beat the crowds!

Day 5 - Beijing to Xi’an

Transfer back to Beijing airport for your flight to Xi’an. When you arrive you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your chosen hotel, for a three night stay - as with all of our destinations in China, there’s a range of hotel options here.

Days 6-7 - Xi’an

Spend the next few days exploring historic Xi’an. Be sure to arrange a trip tot he incredible Army of the Terracotta Warriors before you depart, as it will be one of your highlights of your entire trip to China. Set outside of the city itself, this is a huge complex which brings history alive.

Day 8 - Xi’an to Chengdu

Transfer back to Xi’an airport for your flight to Chengdu. When you arrive you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your chosen hotel, for a three night stay. As always, our holidays are super-flexible with a range of hotel options and any number of nights possible in Chengdu.

Days 9-10 - Chengdu

Spend the next few days exploring Chengdu. The city is best known for Giant Pandas and the Grand Buddha, but there’s a charm to the city centre itself with its wonderful teahouses, great food and a nighttime buzz along the river.

Day 11 - Chengdu to Shanghai

Transfer back to Chengdu airport for your flight to Shanghai. On arrival, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel, for a three night stay. Our stopovers in Shanghai are extremely flexible so if you’d prefer a shorter or longer stay just ask!

Days 12-13 - Shanghai

Spend the next few days exploring the economic powerhouse of Asia. A cruise on the mighty Huangpu River is a great way to see the skyline, and at night, when the lights of both Pudong and Puxi come on, it’s even more spectacular!

Day 14 - Shanghai to Hong Kong

Transfer back to Shanghai airport for your flight to Hong Kong. On arrival, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel, for a three night stay. Our stopovers in Hong Kong are extremely flexible so if you’d prefer a shorter or longer stay just ask!

Days 15-16 - Hong Kong

Spend a few days discovering vibrant Hong Kong. If time permits, we’d really recommend taking a trip over to nearby Macau (approx 1 hour), where the enclave’s Portuguese history mixes with modern China. Throw in Las Vegas style casino hotels and you have one of the most unique destinations in Asia.

Day 17 - Hong Kong to the UK

Transfer back to Hong Kong airport for your return flight to the UK.
