SUGGESTED ITINERARY
Day 1 - UK to Beijing
Fly from Heathrow to Beijing, arriving the following day. Departures from other UK airports are also available, please ask for details.
Day 2 - Beijing
On arrival, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel, for a three night stay. Our Beijing city stopovers are very flexible, so if you’d like a day or two more or less just let us know!
Days 3-4 - Beijing
Spend the next few days exploring this incredible city. Getting around Beijing can be rather slow going and confusing, although the underground network is cheap and efficient. Our top way to explore is to hire a guide for the day to take you to the main sites, travelling by underground, bus and on foot - explore like a local, with a local!
Day 5 - Beijing to Chengdu
Transfer back to Beijing airport for your flight to Chengdu. When you arrive you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your chosen hotel, for a three night stay - we’d recommend three nights in Chengdu to take in all of the main sights, but if you prefer a longer or shorter duration just let us know.
Days 6-7 - Chengdu
Spend the next few days exploring Chengdu. The city is best known for Giant Pandas and the Grand Buddha, but there’s a charm to the city centre itself with its wonderful teahouses, great food and a nighttime buzz along the river.
Day 8 - Chengdu to Guilin
Transfer back to Chengdu airport for your flight to Guilin. When you arrive you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your chosen hotel, for a three night stay. As always, hotel options are flexible, as is the length of time you spend in Guilin.
Days 9-10 - Guilin
Spend the next few days exploring Guilin. Away from the beautiful scenery of the Li River, Guilin has a host of temples, lakes and parks to explore - the Sun & Moon twin pagodas are particularly pretty when lit at night.
Day 11 - Guilin to Shanghai
Transfer back to Guilin airport for your flight to Shanghai. On arrival, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel, for a three night stay. Our holidays to China are very flexible, so if you’d prefer a different duration just let us know!
Days 12-13 - Shanghai
Spend the next few days exploring the economic powerhouse of Asia. A cruise on the mighty Huangpu River is a great way to see the skyline, and at night, when the lights of both Pudong and Puxi come on, it’s even more spectacular!
Day 14 - Shanghai to UK
Return transfer to Shanghai airport for your return flight to the UK.
One of our favourite China multicentre holiday combinations, taking in the diverse capital Beijing, super-modern Shanghai, the Giant Pandas and great Buddha at Chengdu, and the beautiful scenery of Guilin.
