SUGGESTED ITINERARY
Day 1 - UK to Beijing
Fly from Heathrow to Beijing, arriving the following day. Departures from other UK airports are also available, please ask for details.
Day 2 - Beijing
On arrival, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel, for a three night stay. Our holidays to China are extremely flexible so if you’d prefer a shorter or longer stay throughout the itinerary just ask!
Days 3-4 - Beijing
Spend the next few days exploring this incredible city. The Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and Temple of Heaven can be seen in one day, but we’d suggest having a guide to help you explore - getting around can be tricky if you don’t speak the language!
Day 5 - Beijing to Chengdu
Transfer back to Beijing airport for your flight to Chengdu. When you arrive you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your chosen hotel, for a three night stay. As always, our holidays are super-flexible with a range of hotel options and any number of nights possible in Chengdu.
Days 6-7 - Chengdu
Spend the next few days exploring Chengdu and the surrounding area. One of our highlights of the whole of China is the Grand Buddha of Leshan, not too far from Chengdu - the world’s tallest Buddha is 1200 years old and carved straight out of the cliff face overlooking the river. Truly spectacular.
Day 8 - Chengdu to Shanghai
Transfer back to Chengdu airport for your flight to Shanghai. On arrival, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel, for a three night stay. We have a wide range of hotel options in all destinations, so if you can’t see your preferred option just ask!
Days 9-10 - Shanghai
Spend the next few days exploring the economic powerhouse of Asia. A cruise on the mighty Huangpu River is a great way to see the skyline, and at night, when the lights of both Pudong and Puxi come on, it’s even more spectacular!
Day 11 - Shanghai to UK
Transfer Back to Shanghai airport for your return flight to the UK.
Hectic cities, ancient monuments, huge skyscrapers, bustling markets, intricate temples and so much more - this three centre China holiday also includes Chengdu, home to the iconic Giant Panda.
