Sydney, Melbourne, Ayers Rock and Cairns Multicentre Holiday

Start your Australian trip with a few days in each of Melbourne and Sydney, before heading to the Red Centre and classic Ayers Rock. Finally, head to Cairns on the Queensland Coast, the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.

SUGGESTED ITINERARY

Day 1 - UK to Sydney

Fly from London to Sydney, arriving the next day.

Days 2-5 - Sydney

On arrival make your way from the airport to your chosen hotel, for a four night stay - we have a range of hotels to choose from, and your length of stay in Sydney is flexible. Sydney is the most famous of Australia's cities and it’s an easy place to get to know. Over the next few days take in a mix of museums and galleries, open spaces and viewpoints, iconic sights and hidden gems, on the water, on the land or on the beach.

Day 6 - Sydney to Melbourne

Make your way back to Sydney airport for your flight to Melbourne. On arrival, make your way to your chosen hotel for a three night stay - as with all of our destinations we have a range of hotel options available.

Days 7-8 - Melbourne

Spend a few days exploring Melbourne, or if time allows head out of the city to Philip Island to see the fairy penguins coming ashore each evening.

Day 9 - Melbourne to Ayers Rock

Make your way back to Melbourne airport for your flight to Ayers Rock. On arrival, make your way to your chosen hotel for a two night stay.

Days 10 - Ayers Rock

Over the next day or two get to know Ayers Rock a little better. This extraordinary World Heritage-listed site can be explored on guided tours, by bike or on foot, but please do respect Aboriginal customs in the area.

Day 11 - Ayers Rock to Cairns

Make your way back to Ayers Rock airport for your flight to Cairns. On arrival, make your way to your chosen hotel for a five night stay - your duration here is completely flexible so if you’d like a longer or shorter stay just ask!

Days 12-15 - Cairns

Over the next few days get to know Cairns and the surrounding area, including the spectacular Great Barrier Reef - Cairns is one of the best locations for visiting the reef, and there are a number of ways to visit from catamarans visiting deserted beaches to full-on dive trips for the qualified and confident. We recommend a platform such as Quicksilver’s Agincourt Reef for those who are less qualified!

Day 16 - Return

Make your way to Cairns airport for your return flight to the UK, arriving the next day.
