ITINERARY

Day 1 - Depart

Fly from Heathrow to Nairobi, arriving next day. Regional departures from around the UK are also available.

Day 2 - Amboseli

You’ll be met on arrival at Nairobi airport, and transferred to the nearby Safari Lounge, where you can freshen up and store any beach luggage that you don’t want to take on safari. Drive to Amboseli Porini Camp (160 km), arriving before lunch. Following afternoon tea, you will be escorted on a walk by Masai warriors to a village to get an insight into their fascinating culture and way of life. Then take a game drive in the conservancy followed by a sundowner at a scenic spot overlooking Mount Kilimanjaro. Night game drive and return to camp. Overnight: Porini Amboseli Camp (lunch and dinner included).

Day 3 - Amboseli

After an early breakfast, drive through the bush on a private track into Amboseli National Park, for a full morning of game viewing. After a picnic lunch, return to Porini Camp later in the afternoon. In the evening enjoy a game drive in Selenkay Conservancy, stopping for a sundowner at a scenic viewpoint, followed by a night game drive to look for nocturnal animals such as aardvarks, serval cats, caracals, bat-eared foxes, African wild cats and other species. Return to camp. Overnight: Porini Amboseli Camp (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 4 - Ol Pejeta

After an early breakfast, drive through Amboseli Park to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Nanyuki via Wilson Airport, Nairobi (change of plane). Met at the airstrip and transferred to Porini Rhino Camp, located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, in the foothills of Mount Kenya. After lunch and afternoon tea in camp enjoy a game drive in the camp's 4x4 safari vehicle. Return to Porini Rhino Camp. Overnight: Porini Rhino Camp (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 5 - Ol Pejeta

Full day in Ol Pejeta with game drives and walking activities from camp. Overnight: Porini Rhino Camp (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 6 - Masai Mara

Fly by light aircraft from Nanyuki to Masai Mara (approx 1 hour 15 minutes). Met and transferred to Porini Lion Camp. After lunch and afternoon tea enjoy a game drive or escorted walk followed by a sundowner and night drive with spotlight. Return to Porini Lion Camp. Overnight: Porini Lion Camp (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 7 - Masai Mara

Optional early morning balloon flight over the Mara (payable in advance). A full day game viewing in the Masai Mara including a picnic lunch. A sundowner and night game drive. Overnight: Porini Lion Camp (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 8 - Depart

Fly by light aircraft to Nairobi (approx 1 hour) from where you can proceed with your chosen extension or return to Heathrow (breakfast included).

Notes

Game drives are conducted in the camp’s own vehicles, and a window seat cannot be guaranteed.

On occasion the itinerary may operate in a different order, or different lodges used according to availability and road conditions.

Travel times vary on road conditions and game sightings.

Pack a mixture of warm and light clothing in soft bags, plus sunglasses, camera and insect repellent.

Light aircraft baggage allowance is 15 kg - soft sided bags must be used.
