Holidays to Tanzania
Tanzania is an extraordinary country of incredible wildlife and stunning landscapes. Africa’s highest peak Mount Kilimanjaro dominates the landscape in Northern Tanzania, while game-rich national parks and reserves make this one of the best places in the world for a wildlife-based holiday.
Many safari itineraries focus on the national parks in the north of Tanzania, including two of the most well known game parks in Africa - the vast plains of the Serengeti, and the 600 metre deep Ngorongoro Crater, one of the richest game viewing areas anywhere.
Mark, your guide to Tanzania from Escape Worldwide.
“Tanzania is an incredible country, both for a safari and also for the beaches, mainly Zanzibar - I’m a huge fan!”
Further south, parks such as Selous and Ruaha are vast and relatively untouched, with fewer visitors making their way there - a visit here is trickier but all the more rewarding.
The Beaches of Zanzibar
The spice island of Zanzibar is the perfect antidote to an action-packed safari holiday, with miles of beautiful beaches that are ideal for pure relaxation. This is a fascinating island with a long history and plenty of interest, plus an excellent range of beach hotels to choose from - a great option for a chilled beach break.
Fascinating Stone Town is Zanzibar’s cultural heart, where winding streets and traditional houses seem to date from centuries ago. Spend a day or two exploring this historic gem, either on a day trip from the beach or staying in one of the fascinating hotels that are available here.
