It is also perfect for weddings, family holidays and groups of friends. 8 suites, 5 cottages and 1 villa, with a variety of configurations. Cottages, Mama Taa Villa Double Rooms and Mama Taa Villa Family Rooms have verandah/balcony and seaview. Family Beach Cottage and Borelius Room have verandah/balcony and seaview. Andersson Room has en suite bathroom with bathtub, verandah/balcony and seaview. All rooms have en suite bathroom, bed net and ceiling fan.

Lunch is served on the beach, in the shade of the trees or in the boathouse by the sea. Dinner may be served under a clear moonlit sky or in the water tower. At Kinondo Kwetu, there is no fixed dining area. Set three-course menus for lunch and dinner are prepared using local fish, caught each morning by Kinondo village fishermen, local vegetables and meat which is sourced daily to prepare fresh and delicious dishes. If you can tear yourself away from relaxing by the beautiful pool or strolling on the white sand beach, or even having a massage, there are plenty of activities available. Diving, snorkelling, water skiing, windsurfing, canoes and kayaks, cultural visits to local villages, horse riding and deep-sea fishing are amongst the activities available. You can also enjoy boat excursions and exploring the forest.

This Swahili-style boutique retreat has a peaceful location between a sacred forest and sugar-white sands. It’s cut off from the main stretch of Diani Beach thanks to a rocky cliff; the local area is classified as sacred ‘kaya’ land and the surrounding holy forest is protected by the National Museum.
