Etosha National Park is a vast 22,270 square kilometre game reserve situated in the north of Namibia, dominated by a huge mineral pan providing a white, shimmering landscape. Etosha is a sanctuary for black and white rhinos, large herds of elephants, lions and other animals and birds which often congregate around the waterholes that are scattered around the edges of the pan.
Unlike many game reserves in Africa, visitors to Etosha are permitted to drive themselves, making for a unique experience. Whether you’re driving yourself or being driven by a local guide, you’ll find Etosha to be a real highlight of your trip to Namibia.
