ITINERARY
Day 1 - Depart
Fly from Heathrow to Arusha, arriving next day. Regional departures from around the UK are also available.
Day 2 - Tarangire National Park
You’ll be met on arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport and transferred to your lodge in time for a late lunch (approximately 215 km). After lunch a game drive will introduce you to Tarangire National Park, which is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, especially during the dry season when it’s home to amongst the highest concentration of wildlife in Tanzania. The area is dotted with Baobab trees, and is home to elephant,zebra, wildebeest and hartebeest. Overnight: Tarangire Simba Lodge (llunch and dinner included).
Day 3 - Lake Manyara & Ngorongoro
After breakfast your journey takes you to nearby Lake Manyara National Park, where a game drive will hopefully show you hippos and tree-climbing lions that this park is known for, You’ll have a pincnic lunch in the park before continuing towards the Ngorongoro Crater, staying at Karatu where you will check in to your lodge for the night. (Approximately 120 km). Overnight: Karatu Simba Lodge (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).
Day 4 - Serengeti National Park
After breakfast at Karatu travel onwards to the Serengeti National Park, travelling via the Ngorongoro Highlands with a stop at the Olduvai Museum (approximately 165 km). As you arrive in to the Serengeti you’ll enjoy a game drive through the park on the way to your lodge. This is one of the most famous game reserves in the world, and rightly so - it’s endless plains are home to an incredible variety of wildlife, with stunning views at every turn. Overnight: Serengeti Simba Lodge (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).
Day 5 - Serengeti National Park
Today enjoy a full day game drive, with a picnic lunch to reveal more of the wealth of wildlife in this magnificent park. Alternatively, there’s an opportunity for a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti (optional extra) in the early morning, followed by breakfast (complete with sparkling wine) in the bush - it’s an amazing experience, and one we’d highly recommend. There’s a picnic lunch in the afternoon, followed by the rest of the day's game drive. Serengeti Simba Lodge is a small, intimate, owner-run property, located on top of a rocky outcrop affording stunning views over the endless plains in every direction. The lodge was carefully built using local materials, always mindful of the environment and sustainability. A late afternoon game drive will reveal more of the wealth of wildlife in this magnificent park. Overnight: Serengeti Simba Lodge (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).
Day 6 - Ngorongoro
After breakfast at your lodge, depart for the Ngorongoro Crater with picnic lunch (approximately 165 km). Descend into the 100-square-mile Ngorongoro Crater to view game on the vast grasslands of the crater floor. The Crater is an extinct volcano that’s very rich in wildlife, with elephants, rhinos, wildebeest, zebras, buffaloes, gazelles and big cats all making their home here. Overnight: Karatu Simba Lodge (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).
Day 7 - Beach
After breakfast, drive to Arusha (approximately 155 km). You’ll have lunch at a local restaurant in Arusha before transferring to the airport for your flight to Mombasa or Zanzibar. You’ll be met on arrival and transferred to your chosen beach hotel - prices here include a week on the beach but pretty much any duration is possible. Spend the next week relaxing on the beach.
Day 14 - Return
Return transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK.

This is a private itinerary just for your group, up to a maximum of 6 passengers per vehicle to guaranteed a window seat.
