Melbourne, Sydney and Cairns Multicentre Holiday

A classic Aussie itinerary taking in the country’s two prime cities of Melbourne and Sydney, plus the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef at Cairns - plenty of time in each location to take in the highlights of Australia.

SUGGESTED ITINERARY

Day 1 - UK to Melbourne

Fly from London to Melbourne, arriving the next day.

Days 2-4 - Melbourne

On arrival make your way from the airport to your chosen hotel, for a three night stay - we have a range of hotels to choose from, and your length of stay in Melbourne is flexible. Get to know Melbourne over the next few days, using the city’s excellent tram network for getting around - central trams are free and the historic loop tram is great fun.

Day 5 - Melbourne to Sydney

Make your way back to Melbourne airport for your flight to Sydney. On arrival, make your way to your chosen hotel for a four night stay - as with all of our destinations we have a range of hotel options available.

Days 6-8 - Sydney

You now have a few days to discover Sydney, and in this time you’ll see how much green space the city has - the Royal Botanic Gardens are one of Sydney’s jewels, while Hyde Park is more formally laid-out and particularly pretty.

Day 9 - Sydney to Cairns

Make your way back to Sydney airport for your flight to Cairns. On arrival, make your way to your chosen hotel for a five night stay.

Days 10-13 - Cairns

Spend a few days exploring Cairns, the main town in Far North Queensland and the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef - there’s a huge amount to see and do in the area, and we’d recommend visiting the Daintree Rainforest, Mossman Gorge and Cape Tribulation, to the north of Cairns - this area offers some of the most spectacular rainforest and beach scenery in Queensland. The clear waters of the Mossman River tumble through the Mossman Gorge - a great place for hike.

Day 14 - Return

Make your way to Cairns airport for your return flight to the UK, arriving the next day.
