DAY 1 LONDON to LUXOR
Fly from Gatwick to Luxor. On arrival transfer to MS Grand Rose. Overnight in Luxor.
DAY 2 LUXOR to KOM OMBO
After breakfast visit the East bank of Thebes and the Temples of Luxor and Karnak. At the vast open air museum of Karnak, marvel at the Great Hypostyle Hall with its 134 columns. In the afternoon, sail to Kom Ombo via Esna lock.
DAY 3 KOM OMBO to ASWAN
The cruise continues via the impressive sight of Kom Ombo standing sentinel at a bend in the river. Visit this unusual double temple, built in 250BC to honour the crocodile-headed Sobek and the falcon-headed Horus, before sailing on to Aswan.
DAY 4 ASWAN
Make the most of the onboard facilities as you sail to the Aswan area. Alternatively, take time out for one of the optional excursions, such as an early morning trip to Abu Simbel (by air or by bus)* or a day trip to an Aswan Nubian Village national park*. During the evening, there is an optional excursion to the atmospheric Sound and Light show in the Philae Temple.
DAY 5 ASWAN
Spending the morning visiting the island of Agilika and Philae Temple, which was moved to the island between 1972 and 1980 to save it from flooding when the Aswan High Dam was built. After lunch, enjoy a romantic felucca or motor boat ride on the Nile (subject to weather conditions).
DAY 6 ASWAN to LUXOR
Make the most of the onboard facilities as you sail back towards Luxor.
DAY 7 LUXOR
Travel to the West Bank of Thebes and the Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of a succession of mighty Pharaohs. Optional visit to Tutankhamun's tomb (please note that the surviving treasures now reside in the Cairo Museum). Other highlights include the imposing Temple of Hatshepsut, the gigantic Colossi of Memnon, which have stood in the Theban necropolis for the last 3400 years, and Medinet Habu, the mortuary temple of Rameses III. Enjoy your last evening in grand style with the optional Sound & Light show at Karnak.
DAY 8 LUXOR to LONDON
Transfer to the airport for your return flight from Luxor to Gatwcik.

Day 1 UK to Cairo
Fly from Heathrow to Cairo. Met on arrival and transfer to your hotel for a three night stay. Prices are based on the Le Meridien Pyramids on a Bed & Breakfast, with a range of other hotels also available. Other durations are also possible.
Days 2-3 Cairo
Enjoy a further two nights in Cairo, with various excursions pre-bookable. Head to Khan El Khalili for great shopping and local food, or to the Citadel to see Cairo's less visited side.
Day 4 Cairo to Aswan
Return transfer to Cairo airport for the flight to Aswan, where you'll be met and transferred to your hotel for a two night stay. Prices are based on the Movenpick Aswan on a Bed & Breakfast basis, with a range of other hotels also available. Different durations are also possible.
Day 5 Aswan
Spend a further two nights in Aswan, enjoying the Movenpick's wonderful pool and exploring the town.
Day 6 Aswan to Luxor
Transfer by road from Aswan to Luxor, where you'll be met and transferred to your hotel for a five night stay. Prices are based on the Steigenberger Nile Palace on a Bed & Breakfast basis, with a range of other hotels also available. Different durations are also possible.
Days 7-11 Luxor
Spend a further four nights in Luxor, exploring the sites or just relaxing at your hotel.
DAY 12 Luxor to UK
Transfer to Luxor airport for the return flight to Heathrow.

DAY 8 LUXOR TO HURGHADA

DAYS 9-14 HURGHADA
Spend a further six nights in Hurghada, exploring the resort's superb restaurants, great nightlife and incredible underwater world.
DAY 15 HURGHADA TO UK
Transfer to Hurghada airport for the return flight to Heathrow, via Cairo.
