ITINERARY

Day 1 - Depart

Fly from Heathrow to Arusha, arriving next day. Regional departures from around the UK are also available.

Day 2 - Tarangire

On arrival at Kilimanjaro / Arusha airport, met and transferred for lunch at a local restaurant. Drive to Tarangire National Park, with a game drive en route to the lodge (215 km). Overnight: Tarangire Sopa Lodge (lunch and dinner included).

Day 3 - Ngorongoro

Enjoy an early morning game drive and return to the lodge for breakfast. Drive to your lodge located close to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving in time for lunch (150 km). Spend the afternoon at leisure. Overnight: Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 4 - Serengeti

Early breakfast, depart with a packed lunch to descend into the crater floor for a half-day game drive. Visit a local Masai village (time permitting). Continue to Serengeti National Park, stopping for your picnic lunch on the way, with a brief visit to Olduvai Gorge (200 km). Enjoy a game drive en route to the lodge. Overnight: Serengeti Sopa Lodge (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 5 - Serengeti

Enjoy an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge, or take an early morning balloon flight over the Serengeti followed by a 'bubbly' bush breakfast (optional extra). Lunch at the lodge. Late afternoon game drive. Overnight: Serengeti Sopa Lodge (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 6 - Depart

After breakfast transfer to the airstrip for the light aircraft flight to Arusha. (Luggage restricted to 15 kgs). Lunch at a local restaurant. Transfer to the airport for your onward travel arrangements (breakfast and lunch included).

Notes

This is a private itinerary just for your group, up to a maximum of 6 passengers per vehicle to guaranteed a window seat. Light aircraft journeys are not on a private basis.

On occasion the itinerary may operate in a different order, or different lodges used according to availability and road conditions.

Travel times vary on road conditions and game sightings.

Pack a mixture of warm and light clothing in soft bags, plus sunglasses, camera and insect repellent.

Light aircraft baggage allowance is 15 kg - soft sided bags must be used.
