ITINERARY

Day 1 - Depart

Fly from Heathrow to Arusha, arriving next day. Regional departures from around the UK are also available.

Day 2 - Serengeti

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport fly by light aircraft to the Serengeti. Met on arrival and transferred to your accommodation - a wide selection is available but our suggestion is the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge, set in a superb location in the park. Afternoon game drive followed by dinner: Overnight: Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 3 - Serengeti

A full day in the Serengeti to enjoy game drives. During the annual migration over a million animals undertake the treacherous journey to the western Serengeti and the Masai Mara. The large populations of lions, cheetahs and leopards are permanent residents. Overnight: Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 4 - Serengeti

A full day in the Serengeti to enjoy game drives. Between the months of December and mid-March the animals are found grazing on the Serengeti Plains. The calving season occurs for a few weeks in February, when around 500,000 calves are born. Overnight: Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 5 - Depart

After breakfast transfer to the airstrip for scheduled flight by light aircraft to Arusha. Met on arrival and transferred to a local restaurant for lunch. Proceed with your chosen extension or return to Heathrow via Nairobi (breakfast and lunch included).

Notes

Game drives are conducted in the camp’s own vehicles, and a window seat cannot be guaranteed.

Travel times vary on road conditions and game sightings.

Pack a mixture of warm and light clothing in soft bags, plus sunglasses, camera and insect repellent.

Light aircraft baggage allowance is 15 kg - soft sided bags must be used.
