There are 4 en suite stone cottages and 5 en suite open-fronted tented rooms (or 'bandas'). There is also a two storey hilltop villa with 2 bathrooms (can accommodate 6 but can also operate as 2 separate units with own private entrance) from whose terrace, one can marvel at arguably the best view in Selous.

Hilltop restaurant and a unique bar area. Cool down in the freshwater swimming pool (the lodge has its own natural spring) or relax on the stone sunbathing terrace. Swimming pool water is recycled to a nearby watering hole where animals can be observed coming to regularly drink.

A new, very comfortable, tree house complete with bar and library encourages longer vigils watching Sable's newest and most productive waterhole. Guests are welcome at 'The Landrover's Return' for a pre-dinner drink in Sable's unique atmosphere. This solar-powered lodge has a warm, intimate and relaxed ambience.

Sable Mountain Lodge blends seamlessly with its surroundings and is almost invisible from the air. It is located over two small hills right on the northwest boundary of the Selous Reserve affording stunning views of surrounding miombo woodland, the plains of Selous as well as the Uluguru Mountains.
