Location of the Al Waha at Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort

On a rocky bluff overlooking the Gulf of Oman, approximately 15 minutes from the old city. Approx. 45 minutes from Muscat airport.

There are 262 classically designed rooms and suites here including Superior Poolview Rooms, which overlook the pool and gardens, and Superior Seaview Rooms which have views of the Bay of Al Jissah. Setting the Al Waha apart from the two other hotels are the Family Rooms which consist of two interconnecting bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and the other with twin beds. These rooms also feature a DVD player and a Playstation as well as a selection of other games.

The hotel surrounds an oasis-like swimming pool which features a children’s pool and a splash pad aquatic play area and is shaded by towering palms. Kids’ will love the Adventure Zone, a family entertainment area with slides and play equipment, while the rainbow slides and the designated toddler zone are a favourite with younger children.

The family-friendly facilities which are located throughout the Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort are complimented perfectly by a selection of amenities and activities for parents, including an indulging spa, a diving school and a selection of restaurants and bars. Al Waha’s main restaurant Samba serves a variety of international dishes at breakfast, lunch and dinner while the Surf Café is an ideal spot for a casual family lunch or dinner.
