Sofitel Legend Old Cataract, Aswan
Luxury and legend combine at this Nubian majesty, rising out of the desert on a rocky promontory on the banks of the Nile. Dating back to 1899 and sensitively refurbished, the Sofitel Legend Old Cataract oozes an abundance of Victorian charm.

138 rooms are housed in either the Old Palace wing or the contemporary Nile wing. The original Victorian building with the pink granite facade has modern rooms with private bathrooms. Each of the air-conditioned rooms is decorated with wooden furniture. All rooms feature air-conditioning, minibar, flat-screen television, complimentary internet access and marble bathroom.
