The Far East - where to start! We adore this area of the world as there's so much variety - gorgeous beaches, exciting cities, sleepy corners and some of the best food anywhere - it makes us hungry just thinking about it!

THAILAND
	Thailand has it all - beaches, history, food, culture and so much more, and we all love it! Natalie's favourite area is Phuket for the beaches and nightlife, while Karen prefers Krabi's relaxed feel, especially with the superb seafood she's had there. Mark learned Thai cookery in Chiang Mai so has a soft spot for the north, while Darren is a fan of Bangkok's lively atmosphere and great markets!
MALAYSIA
	Malaysia is a beautiful, charming country with so much to see and do. Start in the capital Kuala Lumpur, straining your neck to see right to the top of the stunning Petronas Towers. Hit the beach at Penang, with excellent markets and great bars too, or on Langkawi, with its more relaxed pace of life. The East Coast is beautiful and Borneo is superb for the Orang Utans - so much to see, so little time!
HONG KONG & SINGAPORE
	The cities of the Far East are one of the highlights of the region, which is why a twin centre or multi centre holiday works so well. Hong Kong is a real mix of skyscrapers and markets - take the tram to Victoria Peak for the most spectacular view. Singapore is the first longhaul destination Mark ever when to, way back in 1991, and it excites him just as much today as it did then!
BALI & INDONESIA
	Beautiful Bali is a real gem, and one of Darren's favourite parts of the Far East - he loves the mix of beaches and mountains, plus the fact it's great value is a bonus too! Lombok is quieter but just as beautiful - this is Mark's favourite island, while Natalie prefers Bintan, with quality hotels and easy to reach by ferry from Singapore. Indonesia is a really diverse country - let us point you in the right direction!
VIETNAM, CAMBODIA & LAOS
	We think Indochina is the most fascinating part of the Far East - fewer visitors than other areas combine with a huge amount of history and a genuinely warm welcome. Sleepy Laos is the least well known of the three countries, while neighbouring Cambodia has the Temples of Angkor drawing more visitors. Vietnam is really diverse from north to south so is well worth exploring!
CHINA
	China is such a vast country it's hard to know where to start - let us help you! Beijing is a must-see for any visitor, with the Forbidden City and Great Wall to name just a few highlights. Shanghai's modern development is breathtaking, while Xian and the Terracotta Warriors is a real highlight. Our escorted tours of China are probably the best way to make the most of your time here!
