Situated on the seafront of ancient Stone Town, washed by the aquamarine waters of the Zanzibar Channel, the Zanzibar Serena Hotel is a haven of tranquillity amongst the bustle of Zanzibar. It is flanked by an exotic mix of sultans' palaces, Portuguese forts, ancient dhow harbours and bright bazaars.

51 air-conditioned rooms with bath, satellite TV, safe, mini bar, hairdryer, mosquito net and a private balcony. Standard rooms (2 adults) have a partial ocean view. Prime view rooms (2 adults) which have a hammock and a full ocean view, are also available. Each bedroom is cool, white, and constructed in the traditional design of a Swahili house.

Faithfully restored and lavishly embellished, the interior design concept is a fusion of authenticity and opulence that reflects the very essence of Zanzibar. Leisure facilities include an outdoor pool, a gift shop, boutique and beauty therapy parlour. Water sports can be organised on request and are available at the nearby beaches, these include diving, snorkelling and sunset boat trips. A complimentary shuttle is provided to and from Serena Mangapwani Beach Club.
