Beyt Al Salaam (formerly Beyt Al Chai) is a charming, small boutique guesthouse, located at the heart of Zanzibar's Stone Town. Built by a wealthy Arab merchant as a private home. Beyt Al Salaam is an historic building that used to serve as a tea house.

Beyt Al Salaam is ideally located on the famous Kelele Square. It is also within easy walking distance of all the attractions of Zanzibar Town. Approximately 10 minutes from Zanzibar airport.

Rooms at the Beyt Al Salaam

Five air-conditioned rooms with en suite bathrooms, each of which is uniquely designed. Rich brightly covered organza and silk curtains billow in the breeze around genuine antiques, some of which date back to the days of the Sultan.

One Sultan room accommodates 2 adults and 2 children, One Prince room accommodates 2 adults and 1 child; other rooms accommodate 2 adults.

The three-storey house has since been beautifully restored, with every effort made to retain the character of this antique building. Beyt Al Salaam is the perfect place to relax and capture the spirit and magic of Zanzibar. Facilities at Beyt Al Salaam include a lounge and bar which is furnished with huge comfortable sofas and armchairs which have been placed to form different seating areas. Ideally created to provide privacy and comfort for those who want to relax, read books or just sip a cool drink and enjoy the gentle music in the background.

Breakfast included. A 5-star restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel provides an opportunity for first class dining.
