Damaraland and Namibia's north is a beautiful and culturally-rich area of the country. Damaraland itself is a mountainous wilderness region famed for its outstanding natural beauty including The Brandberg, Namibia's highest mountain, while nearby Twyfelfontein is the only inscribed UNESCO World Heritage Site in Namibia, a wonderful rocky outcrop featuring thousands of Bushman engravings.

Further north, The Kakoveld is a remote region that’s home to the Himba, a nomadic tribe with few outside influences. In the far Northwest of Namibia, the Caprivi Strip is a wildlife-rich region that leads onwards to Botswana’s famed Chobe National Park and nearby Victoria Falls. This area is Namibia’s frontier country.
