Staying in Casa Particulares is a unique and very Cuban experience – casas are private homes that offer rooms to visitors, and are generally fairly small, very friendly and by far the best way to get up close to Cuba. Casas do vary enormously, from just one or two rooms that are part of the house itself, to eight to ten rooms that are separate to the family’s accommodation. Rooms are en suite and breakfast is included – most families can prepare additional meals if you wish. Staying in a casa is a great way to meet regular Cuban families, and to learn a little more about this fascinating country.
