Vietnam - Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hoi An & Saigon

A superb introduction to fabulous Vietnam, taking in four of its highlights - the two key cities of Hanoi and Saigon, stunning Halong Bay where you’ll enjoy an overnight cruise, and the beaches and history of charming Hoi An.

ITINERARY

Day 1 - UK to Hanoi

Fly from Heathrow to Hanoi, arriving the following day. Departures from other UK airports are also available, please ask for details.

Day 2 - Hanoi

On arrival, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to the La Nueva Boutique Hotel Hanoi, for a three night stay. We’ve included a three night stay in Hanoi, but if you’d like a different duration just let us know!

Days 3-4 - Hanoi

Spend the next few days exploring fascinating Hanoi. We’d recommend visiting Ho Chi Minh’s house and the Presidential Palace, located close to each other and easy to explore.

Day 5 - Hanoi to Halong Bay

You’ll be collected from your hotel in Hanoi and transferred to the marina in Halong Bay - a journey of around three hours. Boarding the La Regina Royal cruise boat around midday, you’ll set sail for the beautiful waters of Halong Bay. Cruise itineraries differ a little between boats, but activities tend to be both onboard, on the water and on dry land, visiting islands, beaches and caves.

Day 6 - Halong Bay to Hoi An

An early rise will hopefully give you a stunning sunrise from the deck of your boat, followed by breakfast. A typical second day may include activities on board such as tai chi, on land such as cave exploring, or on the water such as kayaking. Later, disembark from your cruise boat at around 11 am, and your transfer will take you to Hanoi airport airport for your onward flight to Danang. You’ll be met on arrival at the airport and transferred to the Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort, for a seven night stay. A wide range of hotels and resorts are available and durations are flexible, so you can stay for as long as you wish.

Days 7-12 - Hoi An

Spend the rest of your stay in Hoi An, relaxing on the beach, exploring the historic Old Town area (a UNESCO World Heritage site) and soaking up the atmosphere. Be sure to explore Hoi An’s long history, best seen in its beautiful buildings.

Day 13 - Hoi An to Saigon

You’ll be collected at your hotel for your return transfer to Danang airport, for your onward flight to Saigon. On arrival, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to the Silverland Yen Hotel for a three night stay. Our holidays to Vietnam are extremely flexible so if you’d prefer a shorter or longer stay in Saigon just ask!

Days 14-15 - Saigon

Spend the next few days exploring fascinating Saigon. We’d suggest taking in the Reunification Palace for an overview of the Vietnam War, and the moving War Remnants Museum for an insight in to the atrocities that occurred.

Day 16 - Saigon to UK

You’ll be collected at your hotel for your return transfer to the airport, for your flight back to the UK.
