Opinion:
The only Bedouin hotel in the area, the Bedouin Moon, under British
management by Reef 2000, offers guests an insight into this fascinating
local culture. The Hotel is built in a traditional style, with colourful
rugs and wall hangings.
Location: Situated just 1km north of the tourist
village of Dahab, near to the Blue Hole, the Bedouin Moon is nestled
at the foot of a mountain range, and has unrivalled views of the Red
Sea and mountains.
Rooms: All rooms have private shower and balcony
or terrace, giving views of the Red Sea or mountains. Air-conditioned
rooms are available.
Cuisine: The restaurant provides buffet breakfast, with European-style
and Middle Eastern food served in the evening. The resident Bedouin
chef offers a traditional menu cooked over an open fire, fresh fish
being a speciality. A pool bar is also available.
Sport & Leisure: Freshwater swimming pool. Reef
2000 Diving Centre and desert activities, including jeep and camel
safaris.
