JOB
VACANCIES WITH ESCAPE WORLDWIDE |
| |
|
|
| We're
currently on the look-out for enthusiastic individuals to join our team,
based in Stratford, East London. As a small company you'd be involved
in a wide variety of activities on a day-to-day basis, mainly focused
on the selling of long-haul holidays. The main activities you would be
involved with include: |
| |
|
|
RESERVATIONS |
- |
Dealing with holiday enquiries
received by e-mail and over the telephone. |
| |
- |
Compiling holiday quotes
for prospective clients. |
|
-
|
Destination
research to broaden your knowledge - this may include overseas travel.
|
|
- |
Selling the
right holiday to the right client. |
|
|
|
ADMINISTRATION |
- |
Post-booking administration
of holiday bookings. |
| |
- |
Making the tea! |
| |
|
|
|
Although
we don't have fixed criteria, we are looking for enthusiasm, flexibility
and a few other key points: |
|
|
|
SKILLS |
- |
Good communication
skills - both spoken and written - are invaluable. |
| |
- |
Being Internet-savvy is
a must. |
| |
- |
Computer skills, including
Word and Outlook, would be important. |
|
- |
The ability
to work as a part of a close-knit team is essential. |
| |
- |
Flexibility
is important - we're flexible, and would hope that you can be too. |
| |
- |
Being able to make a good
cup of tea would also be advantageous. |
| |
|
|
EXPERIENCE |
- |
A travel background is
ideal, with previous experience in the industry - ideally as a travel
agent or tour operator - being preferred. |
| |
- |
Practical travel experience
is also good - as we deal purely with long-haul destinations, first-hand
experience of long-haul travel, especially in the Far East, East Africa,
the Middle East or Latin America, would be beneficial. |
