This itinerary visits the magnificent Samburu, followed by the Aberdares and Lake Nakuru. The lake is home to a variety of birds including
numerous bright pink flamingoes.
The final destination is the breathtaking Masai Mara which teems with a host of plains game plus the ‘big five’.
Treetops will be shutting for refurbishment from October 2011 - January 2012, during which time accommodation will be at the Serena Mountain Lodge.

Monday
Aberdares
Transfer to the Safari Lounge, where you can freshen up before departing for the Aberdares (180 km – approximately 4 hours). Arrive at Outspan Hotel where your luggage can be stored. Continue with an overnight bag to Treetops for lunch and overnight stay. Overnight: Treetops (lunch and dinner included).
Tuesday
Samburu
Drive north across the equator to the Samburu National Reserve (220 km – approximately 4 hours) and check in to your lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Overnight: Samburu Game Lodge (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).
Wednesday
Samburu
Morning and late afternoon game drives in Samburu National Reserve. Overnight: Samburu Game Lodge (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).
Thursday
Lake Nakuru
After breakfast descend into the Great Rift Valley, stopping en route for lunch at Thomson’s Falls (275 km – approximately 5 hours). Continue to Lake Nakuru with a game drive en route to the lodge (70 km – approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes). Overnight: Lake Nakuru Lodge (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).
Friday
Masai Mara
Drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve (270 km – approximately 5 hours 30 minutes). An afternoon game drive. Overnight: Keekorok Lodge (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).
Saturday
Masai Mara
Enjoy an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. Or take an early morning balloon flight over the Mara followed by a ‘bubbly’ bush breakfast (optional extra). Afternoon game drive. Overnight: Keekorok Lodge (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).
Sunday
Extension or Heathrow
After breakfast, return to Nairobi by road (300 km – 5 hours), proceed with your chosen beach extension, or return to Heathrow (breakfast included).

Flights are in light aircraft and the baggage allowance
is strictly 15 kg per person. Where possible, additional
luggage can be left at your hotel or at the

entire luggage must be restricted to 15 kg as no luggage can be stored in Nairobi.

for the animals it attracts and for the sheer joy of exploring
a tree house visited by rhinos, elephants, buffalos, bushbucks,
waterbucks and many others.
Placed in the path of an ancient
elephant migratory route between the Aberdare ridges &
Mt Kenya National Park, & strategically sited right in
front of a watering hole & salt lick. Facilities at Treetops include a restaurant,
lounge & two bars. Leisure facilities include viewing
points from the lodge, game drives, photographic hides, a
Treetops lecture & a full day trip to the moorlands.

On safari at the Masai Mara National Reserve. This lodge was the first of its kind to be built in Kenya's Masai Mara National Reserve.
