Day 1
Heathrow–Nairobi
Kenya Airways overnight
flight from Heathrow to Nairobi.
Day 2
Samburu
Transfer to Wilson airport
and fly Air Kenya (or similar) to
Samburu for three nights at
Samburu Intrepids Camp. Set in
the National Reserve amid Acacia
trees, the luxury tented camp
fringes the Uaso Nyiro River, and
its abundance of wildlife.
Afternoon game drive
and overnight.
Day 3
Samburu
Samburu Intrepids has 27
stylish tents on stilts and wooden
decking overlooking the river,
shielded with thatched roofs. All
have electricity, ceiling fans,
minibar, bathrooms with showers,
plus there is a central main building
and swimming pool. The excellent
Adventurers Club offers children
lots of educational activities, and
morning and afternoon game
drives in the camp’s own 4x4
vehicles are included.
Day 4
Samburu
Morning and afternoon
game drives take you into the
heart of the Reserve with the
chance to spot the big cats.
Day 5
Masai Mara
After breakfast and an
early morning game drive, fly Air
Kenya directly to the Maasai Mara
and Mara Intrepids Camp for three
nights. An afternoon game drive
will give a taste of this famous
reserve. Here you may upgrade to
the exquisite Mara Explorer Camp. Set on the Talek
River, frequented by hippo, the
intimate camp has just ten
secluded tents set on wooden
decking, with en suite shower, and
an outdoor bath located on the
deck. The Intrepids Camp has 30
beautifully furnished tents with
features as per Samburu.
Day 6
Masai Mara
Today enjoy morning and
afternoon game drives into the
heart of the Mara.
Day 7
Masai Mara
Another memorable day
with morning and afternoon
game drives seeking out the stars
of ‘Big Cat Diary’, including
Bella the Leopard who is often
filmed nearby.
Day 8
Return or Beach
Early morning game drive
before your Air Kenya flight to
Nairobi. You will be taken to a
comfortable Nairobi hotel for the
afternoon where you may wish to prebook a day room (extra cost)
before your Kenya Airways
overnight flight to Heathrow.
