Kenya Driving Safaris
Welcome to the Home of Safaris

WELCOME
Kenya is the home of safari, and a driving safari is the best way to see it all - the variation of landscapes and the variety of widlife can best be appreciated on an overland itinerary, taking in three of four different locations, each with its own character. Take in locations such as the Aberdares and the famous Treetops Lodge, the plains of Samburu National Park, the beautiful Great Rift Valley lakes and the renowned Masai Mara. In a week or less, you'll discover what Kenya is really about.

WHAT TO DO
A good driving safari takes in various parts of Kenya, combining different landscapes and wildlife, from the Big Five on the Masai Mara to the birdlife of the Great Rift Valley. Enjoy game drives in the main locations, spending a few hours getting closer to the wildlife in the early morning and late afternoon. Ride majestically over the Masai Mara by balloon, and relax during the day at your lodge.
WHERE TO STAY
Lodges on safari generally offer good standards and are often in excellent locations. Some properties resemble country hotels, while others are camps of luxury tents, complete with elegant verandah and proper bathroom. 'Tree' lodges overlook watering holes, where it's more a case of the animals coming to you, rather than you looking for them!
HOLIDAY IDEAS
Driving safaris in Kenya range from four or five nights upwards - for shorter options see our flying safari itineraries. Any safari can be extended to the beaches of Mombasa, or Zanzibar, Mauritius, Seychelles or Dubai if you prefer.
GETTING THERE
Our Kenya safaris start with a flight from Heathrow to Nairobi, with regional connections in the UK also possible. At the end of your safari, it's a short flight to Mombasa, or onwards to Zanzibar or the Indian Ocean islands - or back to the UK!
