| WELCOME |
At
the southern tip of Jordan on the shores of the Red Sea, Aqaba
offers a great combination of relaxation and activities, culture
and history. This relaxed resort is steadily establishing
itself as a more traditional alternative to other resort areas
in the Middle East. |
| |
| WHAT
TO DO |
The
resort is a great base from which to explore the historic sites
of the region, including renowned Petra, as well as the underwater
highlights of the Red Sea. The area around Aqaba is home to
some of the finest - and most unspoilt - diving sites on the
Northern Red Sea, with many locations drawing the attention
of divers from all over the world. Aqaba is a great location
for a good mix of activities and relaxation - an ideal holiday
base. |
|
WHERE
TO STAY |
Hotel
options in Aqaba tend to be based around the seafront or old
town areas, but as the town is relatively small, getting around
is easy. There's a good range of hotels available, from local
hotels with a friendly welcome to internationally renowned chains
offering the highest standards. The next few years in Aqaba
are set to see the development of more hotels and facilities
- watch this space! |

HOLIDAY
IDEAS |
Spend
a week or two in Aqaba, relaxing by a pool, diving or snorkelling
in the Red Sea or visiting some of the amazing sites close by,
such as Wadi Rum and Petra. Alternatively, Aqaba can be added
to the end of a Jordan tour, taking in numerous sites in this
culturally-rich country. |
