Accommodation on this safari is at Tanganyika Wilderness Camps, which represent a unique collection of affordable permanent tented camps, mobile camping and lodges in Tanzania. The properties are all situated in areas of exceptional natural beauty, rich in wildlife and inhabited by spectacular local tribes.

A stay in Maramboi Tented Camp is a unique opportunity to experience and explore the Tarangire and Manyara ecosystem. During the wet season, the Manyara and Tarangire Pans fill with water, attracting huge flocks of flamingoes and other wading birds. Serengeti Medium Camp is a mobile tented camp located in Central Serengeti. It is strategically located to oversee the vast Serengeti Plains and offers comfortable accommodation. Next, Ngorongoro Farm House, a stylish and sophisticated, yet refreshingly simple property, which provides an original safari experience. This area includes the Ngorongoro Crater, an incredible microcosm of the East African savannah.

This safari operates every fortnight.


Day 1: Monday - Depart
Fly from Heathrow overnight to Nairobi.

Day 2: Tuesday - Arusha
On arrival connect with your flight to Kilimanjaro. Met at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Olasiti Lodge for overnight (lunch and dinner included).

Day 3: Wednesday - Tarangire
After breakfast drive to Maramboi Tented Camp (160 km) arriving in time for lunch. After lunch drive into Tarangire National Park for an afternoon game drive. Overnight: Maramboi Tented Camp (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 4: Thursday - Serengeti
After breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park (350 km) with picnic lunch boxes. Continue to Serengeti Medium Camp arriving in the late afternoon with a game drive en route. Dinner and overnight at the Serengeti Medium Camp (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 5: Friday - Serengeti
Take an early morning balloon flight over the Serengeti followed by a 'bubbly' breakfast (optional extra £295) or an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. After lunch enjoy an afternoon game drive. Overnight: Serengeti Medium Camp (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 6: Saturday - Ngorongoro
After breakfast drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands (200 km). A brief stop is made at the Olduvai Gorge and museum. Continue to Ngorongoro Farm House arriving in time for a late lunch. Afternoon is at leisure. Overnight: Ngorongoro Farm House (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 7: Sunday - Ngorongoro
After breakfast drive into the crater for a half-day crater visit followed by a visit to a local Masai village. Overnight: Ngorongoro Farm House (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

For the 2 nights at Ngorongoro, there is an opportunity to stay at sister property the Tloma Lodge. This is a small lodge located in a valley, offering breathtaking views over a coffee plantation, and onto the eastern wall of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. The cottages are built in the style of an old colonial farmhouse offering guests a relaxing, quiet atmosphere surrounded by lovely gardens.

Day 8: Monday - Beach or return
After breakfast return to Arusha (200 km) for flight to Nairobi, or proceed with your chosen extension or return to Heathrow (breakfast included).
