Journey through Egypt in comfort and style with Oberoi Hotels &

SATURDAY - Depart from the UK to Cairo. On arrival, transfer to
the Mena House Oberoi for the next three nights.
TUESDAY - In the morning, transfer to Cairo airport for the flight
to Aswan. On arrival, transfer to the Oberoi Philae Nile cruise
boat. After lunch on board, visit the Botanical Garden by felucca.
Overnight in Aswan.
WEDNESDAY - Morning visit to the High Dam, Old Dam, the Unfinished
Obelisk and Philae Temple before sailing on to Kom Ombo. In the
afternoon, visit the Temple of Sobek in Kom Ombo, and then continue
on to Edfu. Overnight in Edfu.
THURSDAY - In the morning visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu. After
lunch, cross the Esna Lock and sail on to Luxor. Overnight in Luxor.
FRIDAY - After breakfast, visit the West Bank, including the Valley
of the Kings, the Queens, Madinet Habou and the Colossi of Memnon.
Spend the afternoon at leisure in Luxor. Overnight in Luxor.
SATURDAY - Morning visit to the Karnak & Luxor Temples and then
on to the Oberoi Sahl Hasheesh, Hurghada, by road, a journey of
approximately 4 hours, for the next seven nights.
SATURDAY - After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return
flight to the UK.
THE OBEROI PHILAE
A replica of an Edwardian paddle steamer, the Oberoi Philae is amongst
the best boats on the Nile, and offers 4 & 6 night cruises between
the historical sites of Luxor and Aswan. Furnished to a very high
standard, the interior offers teakwood panelling, parquet flooring
and Oriental carpets. All 58 elegant, air-conditioned cabins, including
4 suites, feature a mini bar, TV, radio, internet facilities, telephone,
safe and private balcony. The Philae restaurant, where guests are
expected to dress for dinner, provides a Continental and Egyptian
menu. Meals are served on fine china, with crystal and white linen,
adding to the ambience of the formal surround. The panelled Lounge
Bar serves a range of beverages, including soft drinks and cocktails.
In the evenings, the Lounge Bar is the venue for the discotheque.
On deck, a good-sized swimming pool is surrounded by sun loungers
and teak parasols, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the splendours
of the Nile. For the more active guest, state of the art gymnasium
equipment is available. |
