Location:
Around 20 minutes south of the centre of Hurghada and the airport,
set in 48 acres of land with a private beach and panoramic views
of the Red Sea.
Rooms: 102 air-conditioned deluxe, superior deluxe,
grand and royal suites, all featuring an enclosed courtyard for
privacy. All suites have a luxury marble bathroom, terrace, living
room, bedroom and landscaped courtyard for relaxation. All are elegantly
furnished with satellite TV, telephone, data ports, digital safe,
mini bar, tea & coffee facilities and hairdryer. Additionally,
grand suites have a private swimming pool (heated in winter) in
the courtyard and a DVD player in the bedroom. Royal suites also
have a private swimming pool (heated in winter) plus a spacious
living room with dining area, pantry and a raised pavilion for alfresco
dining in the private courtyard.
Cuisine: The main informal dining room overlooks
the sea and serves à la carte breakfast, plus dinner, with
a choice of international cuisine and live entertainment. The new
restaurant, Zaafran, serves Oriental and Indian dishes, while a
poolside café provides lunchtime snacks. There is also a
cocktail bar.
Sport & Leisure: Freshwater heated swimming
pool featuring integrated Jacuzzis, plus an aquatic centre offering
diving, deep-sea fishing and snorkelling. Other facilities include
a floodlit tennis court and a beach club. The Oberoi spa by Banyan
Tree, a member of The Leading Spas of the World, offers massage,
sauna, steam bath and a gymnasium (pay locally for treatments).
