Opinion: An exclusive property, the Steigenberger
Golf Resort elegantly combines Nubian and modern design.
Location:
Situated in the middle of El Gouna’s Golf Course and surrounded
by the lagoons, close to El Gouna’s main facilities.
Rooms: 220 air-conditioned rooms, all of which
are spacious and elegant. Each room has private facilities, a balcony
or terrace overlooking the lagoon, garden, pool or golf course,
satellite TV, radio, telephone, safe, mini bar, hairdryer and amenities.
Cuisine: The hotel offers a main buffet restaurant for
breakfast and dinner with themed international buffets, an à
la carte restaurant for evening meals where half board guests may
have a 4 course dinner (set menu) without paying a supplement, and
the Lagoon Terrace serving light lunch, salads and juicy cocktails.
The golf club house also has a Green Bar. Several bars are also
available, serving international cocktails.
Entertainment: The hotel offers live music in the
evening and various live shows during the week.
Sport & Leisure: Lagoon beach, 1 freshwater
swimming pool with 2 separate children’s pools (heated in
winter), plus boccia, beach volleyball, speedball, pedaloes and
canoes (with charge). There is also an aqua centre located on the
Hotel’s Lagoon beach. Facility to book a full range of PADI
courses and daily dive packages, plus once weekly diving initiation
in the Hotel’s pool. The hotel is located in the midst of
El Gouna’s 18-hole championship level USPGA golf course with
putting and chipping greens and an aqua range. Handicap 45 and less
necessary and tee time reservation is a must in advance. Golf PGA
Pro Academy also available. The golf club house has a relaxing indoor
pool and a health and fitness centre with gymnasium, sauna and steam
bath (free of charge for Steigenberger Hotel guests) and massage
room (payable locally).
Special Facilities: Children’s club (for
ages 5-12), internet, laundry service, shops and a bank. Complimentary
shuttle bus to the hotel’s private beach and complimentary
shuttle boat to the golf club house. |
