Opinion: One of the best properties in El Gouna,
the Mövenpick Resort & Spa offers excellent quality and
service in a beautiful setting.
Location:
On the shores of the Red Sea, overlooking the lagoon and just a
short distance from the Resort’s main facilities.
Rooms: 553 air-conditioned rooms, all with balcony
or terrace, and sea, lagoon or garden view plus satellite TV with
radio channel, telephone, mini bar and hairdryer. Family rooms are
also available, and offer an additional two beds on an upper level.
Cuisine: The Palavrion buffet restaurant serves the famous
Mövenpick breakfast and a range of international cuisines for
evening meals. El Savadin restaurant serves seafood and Oriental
delicacies, whilst the Oasis bar and Lagoon Pool restaurant and
bar offer light snacks, lunch and drinks. Additionaly, the Il Limone
restaurant serving mediterranean specialities offers an à
la carte menu, the Bua Khao restaurnat provides Thai cuisine and
Café Vienna with a cosy lounge and terrace offers pastries,
bakery products, sandwiches and the famous Mövenpick ice cream.
Entertainment: Live music and folklore shows are
provided.
Sport & Leisure: 4 freshwater swimming pools
and 2 children’s pools plus a water sports and diving centre
with various activities (pay locally). Other leisure facilities
include squash, table tennis and floodlit tennis courts plus kite
surfing (all payable locally).The health club (pay locally for all
facilities apart from the gymnasium) includes a gymnasium, Jacuzzi,
massage, sauna and steam bath, as well as the Angsana Spa, which
includes 12 treatment rooms (pay locally for treatments). An 18-hole
international golf course is close to the Hotel (pay locally).
