Opinion: This attractive, large resort sits in a tranquil location on a private beach overlooking the azure waters of the Red Sea. With every room boasting gorgeous sea views, a diverse selection of dining and wonderful facilities, Citadel Azur is a superb all inclusive choice.
Location:In Sahl Hasheesh, approx. 30 minutes from Hurghada airport.
Rooms: 514 rooms, all with sea views. Each room features airr-conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, telephone, flat-screen television and minibar.
Standard rooms (42m˛) have sea and pool views, with a balcony.
Deluxe rooms (72m˛) are more spacious with sea views and a balcony.
A range of suites (90-275m˛) with one or two bedrooms are available on request.
Cuisine: An excellent choice of dining outlets include the main restaurant, The Citadel, serving local and international cuisine with separate ‘kids’ and baby’ corner and even a ‘diet’ corner! La Gondola offers an authentic Italian menu and delectable desserts, whilst Blue Merlin specialises in fresh fish. The popular El Gaucho is a traditional churrascaria (Brazalian steakhouse) and there is also a bistro, a buffet-style restaurant serving oriental dishes and barbecue fare, a coffee shop and gelateria.
Entertainment: For evening entertainment at the Citadel Azur El Gouna there are bars, a shisha corner and a discotheque.
Sport & Leisure: An array of activities range from motorised watersports to diving and tennis, relax at one of the three swimming pools, the lagoon or spa.
