Opinion: Originally built in 1869, the Mena House
Oberoi is the place to stay for a true experience of Egypt’s
glorious past. The hotel has been lovingly maintained to capture
the atmosphere of its original era. Rooms retain a traditional décor
yet have been modernised to offer the amenities of a luxury hotel.
Location:
Set in 40 acres of jasmine scented gardens with the Pyramid of Cheops
towering above.
Rooms: The 500 air-conditioned rooms, located in
the Palace and the newer Garden section, where the standard rooms
are found, all feature private facilities, balcony, satellite TV,
telephone, mini fridge and hairdryer.
Cuisine: Dining options include Continental, Indian and
international cuisine, as well as a number of bars.
Sport & Leisure: A swimming pool, tennis courts
and an 18-hole, 2- fairway golf course is adjacent to the property.
