| The sand floor bars and thatched open restaurant give a true ‘no news no shoes’

Location On the north eastern edge of the North Male’ atoll
Meerufenfushi is about one hour from the airport by
speedboat or 20 minutes by seaplane at a supplement
from only £80 per person return. As one of the largest
islands, its 70 acres create an impression of space and
tranquillity, which is enhanced by the lush tropical
interior of the island.
Facilities Two main restaurants, Maalan restaurant for guests
staying in the northern end of the island, Farivalhu for
guests in the southern end, coffee shop, à la carte
‘Hagern boat’ restaurant (seasonal) and
over-the-water Asian wok restaurant.

Accommodation on two sides of the island, all located on the beach or
at the water’s edge. Beach villas are individual wooden bungalows of a
very good standard with airconditioning, ceiling fan,
telephone, cable television, tea and coffee making
facilities, minibar, and open-air shower with heated
water, and terrace. Jacuzzi beach villas are as Beach villas with a
delightful private walled garden and outdoor jacuzzi,
CD player and television. Early booking
recommended. Water villas are as Beach villas with CD player and
television and built to a good standard on stilts partly
over the land and over the sea with sundeck. Jacuzzi water villas are extremely stylishly
furnished villas on stilts over the sea, also with
jacuzzi, DVD player and espresso machine. Honeymoon suites are individual water suites
