Welcome The Colony hotel lies on the only accessible beach in the Bay of Sigueanea, site of Columbus' landing in 1494. The hotel is surrounded by a 4,000 hectare reserve of mangrove and rare species of fauna and flora, which can be accessed by boat excursion from the hotel. The bay is best known for its 56 spectacular dive sites, including the 'Caribbean Cathedral', the tallest coral column in the world. Dive packages can be pre-booked.
