Day 1 Fly from the UK to Salvador and transfer
to overnight stay in hotel.
Day 2 You travel to Rio, Brazil’s colourful
capital – home to Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, an awesome
mountainous backdrop and a vibrant city atmosphere. Transfer to
your selected hotel for a two night stay.
Day 3 A half day tour of the main landmarks of
this fabulous city, including a cable car visit to the iconic Sugar
Loaf Mountain from where you’ll see spectacular views of Rio
and beyond.
Day 4 From Rio you fly to Cuiabá, where
your tour guide will arrange your transfer to the Pousada Rio Mutum
in time for dinner and a welcome drink.
Day 5 A morning walk through some of the spectacular
wilderness of the Pantanal, South America’s largest wetland,
visiting some native palm-thatched settlements and meeting local
people. After lunch you trek by horse to Sia Mariana lake, and return
by boat across the waters, with an opportunity for piranha fishing.
Day 6 After breakfast you take a boat trip before
walking to beautiful Chacororé Bay. In the afternoon a car
or boat will take you to the Mutum River for a safari up this almost
unexplored waterway – a great opportunity to photograph rare
flora and fauna.
Day 7 You transfer after breakfast to Cuiabá
airport, and return to Salvador. Upon arrival in Salvador you’ll
continue by coach to your selected hotel in Bahia. |
