Combine one of the finest National Parks in Southern Africa with the magnificence of the Victoria Falls.
The South Luangwa National Park is certainly Zambia’s premier wildlife destination and is widely regarded as
one of Africa’s last great untamed wildernesses. It is home to large herds of elephant and buffalo as well as
a great variety of predator and prey species, this park has one of the densest populations of leopards found
anywhere on the continent.

The game-viewing in the central area of the South Luangwa National Park
close to Flatdogs camp is hard to beat anywhere in Africa, the river and its
associated lagoons are teaming with hippos and crocodiles, the large
variety of prey species give rise to large numbers of predators, there are
plenty of lions and hyenas, wild dogs are commonly seen and you have an
excellent chance of seeing leopards both in the daytime and from the
vehicle after dark.
Chundukwa River Lodge has a fantastic position near Victoria Falls, and
is home to spectacular river wildlife and birdlife. The camp is
staffed by locals who can really add colour to your experience. Mukay
Village is home to most of the team at the lodge and has about 300
residents in total. Staff are happy to show guests around the Village and
impart some local knowledge on their building techniques, cuisine,
traditions, and of course the local brew! Many guests consider the Village
visit a highlight of their African trip due to the warmth of the people they
meet, especially the giggling children.
