| Isandlwana is set in the heart of the historic battlefields region in Kwa Zulu Natal
conveniently located for exploring the nearby battlefields of Rourke's Drift, Fugitive Drift
and Isandlwana itself. Accessible by road from both both Durban and Johannesburg.
Facilities A striking lodge carved into the side of Nyoni Rock on top of which the Zulu Commander
stood during the battle of Isandlwana, and offering magnificent views over Zululand from
the public areas and rooms alike. A rock pool provides refreshment after a day exploring
the area and a comfortable lounge makes a great venue to talk of the day’s adventures or
recount stories of the Anglo-Zulu and Boer wars. Activities include battlefield tours, walks,
horse riding, birding and cultural experiences.
Accommodation Comfortable and tastefully decorated, each of the 12 rooms overlook the Isandlwana
battlefield and come with en suite bathroom including shower and private balcony.
