Admire the deep gorges of the Fish River Canyon, climb the world’s highest dunes at Sossusvlei and discover that the desert ‘lives’ on this 7 night fly-in safari. Become enchanted by the magic of Lüderitz and Swakopmund, two charming towns on the Coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy rugged Damaraland and the world-famous Etosha National Park before returning to Windhoek.

Day 1 Daily Heathrow – Windhoek
Overnight flight from Heathrow to Windhoek via Johannesburg (plane change).

Day 2 Fish River Canyon
On arrival you will be met by your representative for a short flight to Canon Lodge in the Gondwana Canon Park. From here it is not far to the very impressive lookout points that will afford you an unforgettable view of the second biggest canyon in the world. Overnight Canon Lodge, or similar (dinner included).

Day 3 Sossusvlei After breakfast and a short guided walk, today’s scenic flight takes you via the Fish River Canyon and the southern Namib to Lüderitz. After a visit to the ghost town of Kolmanskop and a short town tour of Lüderitz, lunch at the Nest Hotel. After lunch, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Kulala Desert Lodge, located not far from the famous Sossusvlei dunes. Overnight Kulala Desert Lodge, or similar (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 4 Swakopmund
After an early morning visit to Sossusvlei, the flight continues to Swakopmund and will give you an aerial view of the majestic dunes surrounding Sossusvlei. Proceed along the coast (subject to weather conditions) over Conception Bay, Sandwich Harbour and its famous lagoon to Swakopmund. This quaint desert town with its old-world charm and relaxed atmosphere, hedged by desert and sea, is enhanced by lush green lawns and palm trees. Overnight: Central Guesthouse Swakopmund (breakfast included).

Day 5 Swakopmond
This morning you will be transferred to the neighbouring town of Walvis Bay for a boat cruise on the Walvis Bay Lagoon. Overnight: Central Guesthouse Swakopmond (breakfast included).

Day 6 Twyfelfontein Conservancy
After a road transfer to Swakopmund airport, fly along the Coast (weather dependent). Have an aerial view of Cape Cross before you head inland to Cape Kipwe in the Twyfelfontein area. This area, a very vulnerable and delicate ecosystem, is renowned for some of the best examples of rock paintings and engravings in Southern Africa. Interesting rock formations and the remainder of pre-historic volcanic action can be seen in the Organ Pipes, Burnt Mountain and the Petrified Forest, among the most prominent geographic features. Overnight: Camp Kipwe, or similar (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Days 7–8 Etosha National Park
After breakfast, fly to Mushara Outpost, located only 8 kms from the von Lindequist Gate on the eastern outskirts of the Etosha National Park. Spend the next two days discovering the mysteries of the African bush in Etosha National Park. Enjoy game drives in the park and visit the numerous waterholes that attract a large diversity of animal and bird species, many of these being endemic to the country. Overnight: Mushara Outpost, or similar (breakfast, lunch and dinner included).

Day 9 Windhoek

Modern skyscrapers blend with historic buildings dating from the turn of the century. Sights you will see on your tour are the Ride Memorial, the Old Fort, the Parliament Building, the Lutheran Church, the Railway Station and many more. Overnight at Olive Grove, or similar (breakfast included).

Day 10 Windhoek–Heathrow
Transfer by road to the airport in time for your overnight flight to Heathrow via Johannesburg (breakfast included).

Namibia is a vast country with expansive deserts, plains, dunes, mountains and National Parks. Although it is an easy self-drive destination, for those short on time and wanting to see as much of the country as possible a flyin safari is the answer. The benefits of flying are not only time saving, but it allows you a bird’s eye view of this beautiful country from the comfort of your privately piloted plane.

Accommodation is comfortable and each property is set in a fantastic location whether it be in Fish River Canyon, the world’s second largest canyon which is breathtaking in its enormity, or the amazing geology of Twyfelfontein with its ancient rock formations and rock art.

A Cessna Caravan will fly you in style from one place to the next. Specially adapted to give you maximum comfort, you can sit back and enjoy the scenery below.
