The Gambia's largest and best known hotel is situated next to a large beach in twenty acres of lawn and tropical gardens which attracts an amazing plethora of bird life.

Daytime activities are varied and plentiful, featuring volleyball, tennis, squash and mini golf. If you want peace and quiet, the gardens are spacious enough to find seclusion away from the bustle and activity around the pool whilst the pool terrace and beach bar are at hand to provide snacks and cool refreshing drinks.

Repeat visitors will notice a tremendous improvement in the beach which has been replenished, resulting in a magnificent stretch of sand leading down to the Ocean.

Evening entertainment is both varied and lively, including stage shows by the resident animation team, African cabaret nights and weekly barbecue. The comfortable Safari lounge bar and Bantaba Pub are both popular for a drink to round off the day.

Guest Rooms All our rooms are located in two storey buildings throughout the gardens, Standards have a ceiling fan, telephone, new bathroom fittings and soft furnishings and large patio windows leading onto a terrace or balcony.

Jacana rooms are furnished to an even higher standard, with a television, wooden furniture and textured walls to create an ethnic style. Air-conditioning in both Standard and Jacana rooms is available for a supplement.
