Jordan is on of the most fascinating - and welcoming - countries in the Middle East. A small country with a huge amount of interest, the highlights of the Country are the Red Sea resort of Aqaba, the magnificent scenery of Wadi Rum and the Nabatean city of Petra. Jordan is a perfect destination for something a little bit different.

HOLIDAY IDEAS

At the southern tip of Jordan on the shores of the Red Sea, Aqaba offers a great combination of relaxation and activities, culture and history. Spend a week or two here, relaxing and exploring. The resort is a great base from which to explore the historic sites of the region, including renowned Petra, as well as the underwater highlights of the Red Sea. Alternatively, visit the historic highlights of the Country on a tour.

GETTING THERE

Aqaba is served by flights to Ovda Airport, just over the border in nearby Eilat. Flights operate throughout the Winter, departing Manchester , Luton and Heathrow weekly. From Ovda, it's about 50 minutes to the border and a further 15 minutes to Aqaba town centre. Flights from Manchester operate via Luton.
