A wealth of photo opportunities await with informative visits to the splendid Wat Phnom and the majestic Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. Later stop at the historic National Museum and Wat Ounalom, the centre of Cambodian Buddhism. Lunch is provided at a restaurant near the Mekong River, followed by a visit to Tuol Sleng, the notorious prison and torture centre of the Khmer Rouge. The day finishes with a shopping opportunity at the bustling Russian market.

Bear witness to the crimes against humanity perpetrated by the Khmer Rouge in the mid 1970s. The experience begins with a visit to Toul Sleng (S-21), the former high school converted into a prison. Survivors were few, with almost all detainees ending their days within the prison walls, or at the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. Situated ten miles outside of the city, here just under 20,000 men, women and children were executed. A central Memorial Stupa containing the skulls of over 8,000 victims provides a sombre epitaph.

Enjoy a romantic two hour cruise on the cosy ‘Le Deaville II’. Take in an unforgettable sunset while cruising the majestic Mekong and mighty Tonle Sap rivers.
