Known globally as the 'Spice Island', Grenada is world famous for its production of spices, particularly nutmeg. Grenada is a paradise island with tropical mountain forests and some exceptionally stunning beaches. A holiday to Grenada would not be complete without a visit to the capital of St. George's a stunning town with a picturesque harbour and a maze of local shops.

WHAT TO DO

A holiday to Grenada should definitely include a visit to a spice plantation, where you will see nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon and a range of other spices being prepared. A sailing trip is also a bonus as Grenada is well know for its excellent marine life particularly in the stunning Molinére Bay area, which is also home to a number of underwater sculptures.

WHERE TO STAY

The hotels in Grenada tend to be set towards the south of the Island, mainly based on the Grand Anse beach which is stunning and home to some great water activities. There's a good range of hotels from 3*+ to 5* which means there is something for everyone. Most hotels are within a short distance from the capital of St. George's.

GETTING THERE

Flights operate from London Gatwick to Grenada via Antigua on Tuesdays and Fridays. Flights also operate from London Gatwick on selected days with Virgin Atlantic and Caribbean Airlines (previously BWIA).
