Lake Manyara National Park is a mix of woodland, grassland and swamps, with the park's most famous residents, tree-climbing lions, spotted in umbrella trees. Over 380 species of birds have also been spotted.
The word 'Serengeti' means 'endless plains' and this is Tanzania's most famous park. During the annual migration over a million animals make the journey to the western Serengeti and Masai Mara.
The Ngorongoro Conservation area includes the unique Ngorongoro Crater, an incredible microcosm of the East African savannah. The Crater is home to wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, gazelle, elephant, rhino and big cats.
