Safaris in Tanzania offer a different experience to those in neighbouring Kenya. Distances tend to be greater, but the visitor is well rewarded for the effort. Renowned locations such as the Serengeti and the fabulous Ngorongoro Crater are featured on our Tanzania itineraries.

WHAT TO DO

Most of our Tanzania safaris take you to the most famous wildlife areas in the Country - the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater, where you'll go on fascinating game drives to get closer to the wildlife. Travel with a local expert to make the most of things - their knowledge is exceptional. There's even the opportunity to ride over the Serengeti by hot air balloon!

WHERE TO STAY

Lodges on safari generally offer good standards and are often in excellent locations. Some properties resemble country hotels, while others are camps of luxury tents, complete with elegant verandah and proper bathroom. Properties in Tanzania are in some stunning locations, and offer very good standards that fit in with the local surroundings.

HOLIDAY IDEAS

Combine a Tanzania safari with a beach break in Kenya or Zanzibar, or head off tot he Indian Ocean islands of Mauritius or the Seychelles. Or even combine Tanzania with ultra-modern Dubai, for a real eye opener!

GETTING THERE

Our Tanzania safaris start with a flight from Heathrow to Nairobi, with regional connections in the UK also possible. Most then continue in to Tanzania by onward flight to Arusha. At the end of your safari, it's a short flight to Mombasa or Zanzibar from Arusha, or return to Nairobi to fly on to the Indian Ocean islands - or back to the UK!
