Hurghada
has become one of the foremost resorts on the Red Sea, having developed
into an area that’s a haven for holidaymakers and divers alike.
The Resort offers a varied mix of dive sites and beaches, quality
hotels, restaurants and shops, and with access to the southern Red
Sea, it's a great base for sun seekers and divers alike.
El Quesir, Soma Bay and Abu Soma are smaller resorts, ideal
for those seeking a relaxing atmosphere. About two hours south of
Hurghada, El Quesir is uncommercialised and laid back, while Soma
Bay and Abu Soma, about 45 minutes south of Hurghada, are peaceful
resorts surrounded by beautiful waters. |

The Hurghada
area is a great location for a beach holiday, relaxing in the sun
or exploring the underwater world. Spend a week or two here, or combine
it with a Nile Cruise for an exciting Egypt twin centre holiday. Hurghada
makes an excellent base for divers, as there are numerous sites within
easy access of the resort. A multitude of wrecks, reefs and walls,
all with abundant marine life, are all close by. There are a number
of islands that can be visited on day trips, where sharks, giant eels
and manta rays can be found. |

THERE |
Holidays
in Hurghada and the South Coast area are served by flights to Hurghada
Airport, which operate direct from the UK throughout the year. Flights
depart Gatwick generally on a Friday. At certain times of the year,
additional flights from Gatwick plus Manchester also operate - ask
for more details. Most Hurghada hotels can be reached in under 30
minutes from the airport. Soma Bay and Abu Soma are a 45-60 minute
transfer, and El Quesir is around a 2 hour drive from Hurghada Airport. |
